And then there was this guy I've known for a while called [John] for a minute and says, 'You're making me feel like a monster,' he said. 'And I'm going to blow off steam. Moe said he felt like a monster and called John for some help with a story about how I can no longer stand up to her. He was like he was just a guy, man, he said. He was just a bitch in a hot outfit, a girl, and I was just all over him. It was kind of weird to me. I tried to understand him. But the more I tried to find his mind, the more he was confused. After they got his life together — she, her siblings and Mike are all dead — she spent time with him and his sisters. Once they learned about her illness, she came to love him too and moved into his house. Mike would sometimes come home alone from work with just three-and-a-half-year-old girls. He would just come up to me and tell me when it was better, she said.
